According to Collins, snitch means “To snitch on a person” means to tell someone in authority that the person has done something bad or wrong. [informal]

Example sentence: She felt like a fifth-grader who had snitched on a classmate. [VERB + on]

And I checked the word out on X and found that other sentences using “snitch on” is relatively the same as the example sentence.
